Bollywood Stars on the significance of education for girls on International Day Of The Girl Child 2020

October 11 marks the International Day Of The Girl Child by the United Nations, to promote the fight against the problems faced by young girls. Chitrangda, Dia Mirza, Mira Kapoor, and also various other stars stood by the same idea.

Chitrangda Singh who has been a huge advocate for issues like skin colour, equal rights, took to instagram to share a very important message on Girl Child Day. She shared a video of herself stressing on the significance of education for girls. Her video was also accompanied by a little note which read, “If you Educate a girl you Educate a generation.. Let’s educate our girls and educate a generation.. On #InternationalGirlChildDay , let’s find some kindness and generosity in our hearts to support education of one girl child”

In the video she said “I feel if we want to invest in our future generations, the most basic and important thing is to invest in the education and growth of the girl child. If the mother is educated, the children will grow up with healthier minds and bodies, healthier communities. So I hope people start thinking on this and come forward for the education of a girl child,” said Chitrangada.

Dia Mirza also shared a strong worded message with the help of her video. She said,, “Let’s come together in words and actions to create a world where girls break barriers, create new frontiers” Watch the video:
